She is of the opinion that what Dr. Kell is doing for his patients and their airways is going to be life-changing and potentially lifesaving for so many people.
Dr. Jaime is one of the many chiropractors that we work with and refer patients to that believes in the importance of treating your airway in conjunction with adjustments.
If you struggle with poor posture, a chiropractor could be beneficial to you. Poor posture can cause airway restriction and lead you to position your head forward. When the head is positioned forward, it can put additional strain on the neck and spine, leading to pain and discomfort. However, poor posture can also affect the airway, causing it to become constricted and reducing the amount of air that can flow through it.
Chiropractic adjustments are designed to manipulate vertebrae that have abnormal movement patterns or do not function correctly. Chiropractic therapy can also target inflammation in your body, relieving pain and discomfort and improving your health and quality of life. Chiropractic adjustments can help adjust and relieve inflammation in the surrounding muscles in the base of the skull, neck and shoulders, helping open your airway and allowing you to breathe easier while sleeping.
There are several reasons why airway restriction can occur, including muscle tension and tightness in the neck and shoulders, poor breathing patterns and structural abnormalities in the jaw or skull. If left untreated, airway restriction can cause many health problems including sleep apnea, chronic fatigue and headaches.
If the alignment of the spine is improved, you can develop better breathing patterns and reduce restrictions on your airway. Chiropractors can also provide you with exercises and stretches to help improve posture and reduce muscle tension, further enhancing the benefits of chiropractic therapy.
